1.What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps ease symptoms of trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, eating concerns, and other stress-related struggles. In EMDR, you briefly revisit difficult memories in small, manageable sets while also focusing on a gentle external cue—usually therapist-guided left-right eye movements, taps, or tones. This dual focus helps your brain reprocess “stuck” experiences so they feel less intense and disruptive. Many people find meaningful relief with EMDR, but working with me never requires it—it’s simply one of the many approaches I use to support and empower your healing.
2. What Should I Expect from the Consultation Call?
I offer a free 15–30 minute consultation for prospective clients. If a phone or video (telehealth) call is easier, just note that in your initial message. This conversation helps us see whether we’re a good fit: I’ll ask briefly about your goals and relevant experience with the service you’re seeking, share how I work and how I can help, and we’ll outline next steps—planning, scheduling, payment, paperwork, and invoices (if needed). There will also be time for any questions you have.
3. How do I pay for service?
Bioduct uses Wix to provide a professional, secure online checkout that accepts most major credit cards. You can also request a secure, customized prepay link that matches our agreed plan and payment method. We’ll obtain your consent and provide clear notice before any automatic charges are applied to your card. If you have concerns, we’re happy to discuss options.
4. What is Your Cancellation Policy?
I ask my clients to cancel AT LEAST 24 hours in advance for therapy and AT LEAST 48 hours in advance for  coaching/consulting session. I allow each of my THERAPY clients one “no show” without charging. If a client misses a session without notice, I do charge the card on file for the full fee of the missed session. This is all explained in your informed consent documentation. This is a strict policy so that we can mutually respect one another's time.
These are a just a few frequently asked questions. I encourage you to ask any other questions that you might have about therapy with us, the therapeutic process, or general mental health questions by contacting us here.
